2024 Senior Provincial Closed Championships - Turk and Souchereau claim Top Honors!

A big thank you to the Bow Valley Athletic Club (Dean, Darren, Connor and their staff) for hosting Squash Alberta and the 2024 Alberta Provincial Championships April 4-7. What a great weekend of squash at all levels of play and such a great venue to hang out in for a wonderful weekend of squash.

Also, a big shout out to our Squash Alberta Officials for overseeing the oncourt proceedings all four days.  Ben, Chris, Colin, David, Jack and Rod - Your time and effort is much appreciated and makes the event more enjoyable for all.

Thank you to all the participants and their supporters for making the 2024 Provincial Championships a fun and successful event.

77 players divided into nine divisions competed for Provincial Championship titles over the weekend.  When the dust settled on Sunday, nine Champions were crowned.

In Division I, Connor Turk claimed his first provincial title with a win over the reigning two-time champion, Adrian de Vries.  On the women's side, Kelsey Souchereau collected her 3rd provincial title with a victory over Fiona Curthoys.

   

Daniel Pow claimed the top spot over Duncan Grace in the Men's Div II bracket while Jennifer MacAulay took the Women's Div II crown over Jodie Nykoluk.

   

In Men's III Ian Armitage seized the top spot over Todd Christianson.  In Men's IV it was Scott Richter securing the win over Aaron Oevering.

  

 

Kris Simard took the top spot in Men's V over Shahid Saleem while Nhan Le claimed the title over Len Powell in Men's VI.  Puneet Dargar took the Men's VII title over Matthew Eisentraut.
