Squash Canada Announces 2017 World Doubles Championship Squad:

OTTAWA, ON, June 28, 2017 - Four of Canada’s elite are bound for Manchester, England as Squash Canada announces the four-member Team Canada squad that will compete at the 2017 World Squash Federation (WSF) World Doubles Championships.


From August 1st to 5th,  Sam Cornett (Deep River, ON), Nikki Todd (Regina, SK), Shawn De Lierre (Montreal, QC) and David Baillargeon (Montreal, QC) will represent Canada in the Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles events of the 2017 World Championships.

Below are the results for the event:

Competition this week was stiff as Andrew, Graeme, and Danielle battled through the rounds.

Unfortunately all three of Alberta's top players fell short of being selected, with Andrew making a 2:3 Win/Loss ratio which puts him in 3rd place for the Men's event and 3:1 ratio in the mixed event which put him at first place for that respective event. Graeme gets an overall match score of 2:4 which puts him at 5th place for the Men's and a 2:2 ratio in the Mixed even which puts him at 3rd place. Danielle makes a 3:3 Win/Loss ratio in the Women's event and a 3:3 ratio in the mixed event which makes her tied for 2nd place and puts her at 2nd place respective to the events.
